The MRC has recently funded a core partnership of the University of Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University and University of East Anglia, to promote clinical research amongst the East of England, by supporting doctors and nurses, midwives and allied health professionals (NMAHP) with PhDs and MDs get back to research. This is the MRC Regional Account for Clinical Research – East of England (MRC RACR East).
The scheme provides successful candidates with salaray support (up to 50%) for 12 months, in order to take on a research project.
The project must fall within the MRC remit: fundamental laboratory discovery science to clinical trials, translational research, and disease prevention.
Priority will be given to individuals from under-represented communities, and with a clear path to leveraging future research income.

- The first round of applications will open 9 September at 13:00 and close 1 October.
- Interviews for doctors will be 16 October, interviews for NMAHPS are still TBC.
