Acknowledgement

You must include:

  • Where any author has a substantive or honorary contract with, or is an undergraduate or postgraduate, registered at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of East Anglia both organisations must appear as affiliations in ALL submissions for publication
  • Any sponsorship you have received for the research you are publishing. For grants, include the grant number and source.
  • In accordance with NIHR policy, where resources (staff, space or equipment) of a particular unit or department have been used e.g. Critical Care, Norwich Clinical Trial Unit in the course of the project, the unit / department must appear in the acknowledgements section. For example: ‘This study/Person XXX was supported by the NNUH Critical Care Department’
  • Names of individual staff who have supported the project that led to the publication as well as the relevant department, using an appropriate and accurate title

NIHR Statement and Acknowledgement

When communicating your research through research publications, conference posters or presentations or via other means, it is important to include full and accurate attribution to the organisations that fund and support the underpinning research so they can be reported to funders and beyond. We request that you use the following statements.

Statement (Including Funder and Disclaimer)

This is a summary of independent research funded by [name of research funder] and carried out at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Norfolk Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The views expressed are those of the author(s) and not necessarily those of the [name of the research funder], the NIHR or the Department of Health and Social Care.

Acknowledgement only (for use within a broader set of acknowledgements/disclaimers)

The research was carried out at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Norfolk Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The authors wish to acknowledge the role of patients / members of the public who have contributed to this study/ clinical trial.

Publication Reporting

In our annual reports to the NIHR we are obliged to include outcomes from work conducted in our CRF.
