NNUH-UEA Clinical Associate Professor Call Now Open To Recruitment – Deadline 14 July

Application Deadline: 9am on 14 July, Planned Interview Date: 21 July
As part of the joint Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital-University of East Anglia (NNUH-UEA) commitment to supporting clinical research, we are pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest in the second round of Clinical Associate Professor posts.
Having reviewed the significant successes of the first round, we have made some changes for the second round. Key points from the Job Description include:
- The Clinical Associate Professors will be entitled to 4 research PAs (0.4 WTE) – to carry out high quality research.
- Successful applicants will undertake 6 clinical PAs (0.6 WTE) in accord with their substantive clinical NNUH appointment. (These may be reduced accordingly for part-time appointments.)
- These will be appointments with the UEA with an associated joint contract with NNUH for clinical work.
- At the end of the four-year fixed term appointment, post holders will either continue in their UEA position or return to their previous NNUH position (in addition, NNUH and UEA have agreed that at any time during the four-year fixed term, post holders may revert to their current NNUH role).
- In addition to NNUH and UEA, this initiative is supported by the Quadram Institute; potential collaborative research with Norwich Research Park partners is particularly welcomed.
If you’re interested in this exciting opportunity and would like to discuss this further or would like a full copy of the Job Description, please contact:
- NNUH: Bernard Brett (bernard.brett@nnuh.nhs.uk), Jon Lartey (jon.lartey@nnuh.nhs.uk), Jenny Longmore (Jenny.Longmore@nnuh.nhs.uk) or Lucy Arora (lucy.arora@nnuh.nhs.uk).
- UEA: Kris Bowles (k.bowles@uea.ac.uk), Chris Burton (chris.burton@uea.ac.uk) or Philip Baker (philip.baker@uea.ac.uk)
To apply, please submit an expression of interest of 1-4 pages detailing how you fulfil the person specification together with a CV (not more than 4 pages), and a list of any publications and/or research funding to J.Barlow@uea.ac.uk by 9.00am on 14 July.
The planned date for interviews is the 21 July. (Please enclose details if either a morning or an afternoon interview slot would be particularly challenging.)
We welcome your interest in this exciting initiative – aimed at strengthening our clinical research capability and very much look forward to hearing from you.
