Meet the CRF Delivery Team
The Clinical Research Facility team is responsible for the delivery of clinical trials sponsored by our partners, the Quadram Institute Bioscience and UEA, as well as NNUH-hosted studies which are not supported by a specialty research team.
The mission of the Quadram Institute is to understand how food and the gut microbiota are linked to the promotion of health and the prevention of disease. Current studies include the MOTION study – microbiome of the ageing gut and its effect on human gut health and cognition, the HARVEST study – Hydroponic Fortification and Dietary App Effect on Vitamin B12 and Iron (Fe) Status, the BETA Study- Broccoli Effect on Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c). For UEA: APOLLO- A Proof-of-Concept Study for Vitamin A Nasal Drops in Post-Viral Olfactory Loss and for the Norwich Institute for Healthy Ageing research centre at UEA- the CHARMER Study which is a Comprehensive Geriatrician led medication Review.
