Medical Devices Development RegMetrics Workshop at BCRE, Monday 31 March
UEA’s Research & Innovation Service are hosting a free in-person interactive workshop led by RegMetrics on medical device regulations on Monday 31 March, 10am-12pm, BCRE Lecture Theatre. This workshop is applicable for academics working on medical devices/technologies and professional services staff supporting them. The workshop is designed to support researchers in understanding the regulatory landscape for medical devices and software in the following ways:
- Identify if their device / digital health solution is a medical device.
- Classify a medical device according to the Medical Device Regulation (EU) risk levels.
- Identify the requirements that medical devices need to conform to.
- Strengthen your funding proposal by incorporating regulatory considerations.
RegMetrics are currently supporting the University of Oxford, UCL and the University of Birmingham (and other universities) in providing education on medical device regulations. Further details can be found on their website (RegMetrics). RegMetrics is a spinout of the University of Oxford, dedicated to simplifying medical device regulations for academics. The software platform empowers researchers to make informed decisions and streamlines the regulatory process.
Please register your interest to attend by emailing ipadmin@uea.ac.uk
We will be using RegMetrics during the workshop for which you will have access to the platform from the day before to the day after the workshop.
