EI Innovate 2025 – 15th October

EI Innovate is an annual event that provides insight into the Earlham Institute’s (EI) research, exploring opportunities for innovation and collaboration. 

This year’s event will focus on the innovation journey and will be split into three sessions that span the innovation pipeline.

Activate: developing early career scientists

For scientists that want to further their career though a post-graduate degree or a knowledge transfer partnership (KTP). In this session you will hear from early career scientists working with Elsoms, Tozer Seeds, Microbiotica, and Germinal.

Collaborate: propelling our partnerships 

By building a network of partners, the EI work to enhance creative problem-solving and innovations, and tackle complex challenges more effectively by leveraging combined expertise and fostering creative thinking and novel approaches. 

Innovate: showcasing the latest technologies

In this session you will hear about some of EI’s partnership activities with Syngenta, Tropic, and AstraZeneca. You will also hear about their engineering biology capabilities and the Earlham Biofoundry – a BBSRC National Bioscience Research Infrastructure enabling the UK biotech communities to undertake large-scale projects by providing expertise in synthetic biology and access to automated workflows.

The EI Innovate has been running since 2019. Come along to hear more about the exciting activities taking place at the EI, to learn about the diverse ways you can engage with them and to discover how you can benefit from their expertise and capabilities.
